Chronic dry mouth and outer lips, anyone??

2021.10.26 09:42 stephygrl Chronic dry mouth and outer lips, anyone??

Had chronic issues with dry mouth & constant dry outer lips for the last 10 years. It compromises the way I speak and has contributed largely to my social anxiety!
After trying everything, I believe it’s my inability to close my mouth properly and the mouth breathing that has caused this. On top of this the positioning of my jaws make it hard to speak sometimes in general.
Has this happened to anyone else? I want to make sure this is most likely going to be the source of my problems.
I also have a deviated septum and that could be contributing. I just want to know I’m not alone so that I can finally get some answers. pictures of my jaw here

2021.10.26 09:42 michaelsherry59 Baby boomers anthems (songs that defined our generation)

What songs do you all feel that defines our generation? Our coming age were the 1960s and the 1970s. Let me post a few.
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On 1971
Sly and The Family Stone - Stand 1969
Queen - We Will Rock You 1977
Aretha Franklin - Respect 1967
Donna Summer - I Feel Love 1977 (especially for those who were clubbing)
Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine 1971
The Beatles - Come Together 1969
Joni Mitchell - Big Yellow Taxi 1970
David Bowie - Rebel Rebel - 1974
Those are few I can think of so far, so anyone were either teenagers in the 1960s or the 1970s, post a few songs that you feel defined our generation.

2021.10.26 09:42 existcrisis123 I can't stop feeling defined/affected by the opinions of whoever is standing in front of me at the moment.... anyone else have this?

I could have the most amazing group of people who love me and think I'm funny and great... but the moment I walk into an environment where I don't quite fit in or I'm new or people may have an inaccurate first impression of me... I FEEL that so hard.
Even if it's false information, like say I was doing an experiment where I was walking into a room of strangers who were just told that I eat poop as a fun hobby. I know that's not true about me, and yet when I walk in that room and see people look me up and down or try to hide their disgust, I would actually FEEL like a disgusting monster even though it's not true. Like what is that???
I hate it so much. My social anxiety is killing me at my new job, it's so awkward. I can't talk to anybody, I know they all think I'm quiet and weird and they wish I wasn't there making things awkward for everyone. I've been here over a month and it's like I can barely speak, I tried to be social at first but it exhausted me and the interactions were cringe. I've given up and just quietly work at my desk now because eeven though it makes me even weirder, at least I don't have to suffer the drain of trying to talk. Ugh.
I'm literally in my 30s why is this happening to me? I sound like a high-school kid getting their first job haha
Ugh. Anyway thanks for listening

2021.10.26 09:42 anothertobedeleted 10-year friendship ended, unsure if I should message.

So today I woke up to an alarm only to find a message on Discord in a private server that a friend I've had for 10 years over the internet is cutting contact with me for good.
Their reasoning was that my sibling supports "proshipping" (stated as "that" side of Proshipping, something which was not given context...?) and that even if we're friends, they cannot condone with behavior. The problem is, I don't even consider myself a proshipper.
They've blocked me everywhere, left all servers we were mutuals on.
We met in a group, ran it for about 8 years together before it dissipated over drama, but continued talking afterward.
Some months ago, they wanted to separate from me because I was continuing to run a community with their emotional groomer. I hadn't known the full situation, and have been agonizing over my poor decisions since I learned the full story. There's nothing I can do to fix that situation, since the groomer is too ingrained in my community to kick out- I'd been meaning to get advice on that but it seems... Moot, now.
I don't know if I should contact them and apologize or let it die. I feel like they've been trying to drop me since the groomer situation came to light but kept talking to me every so often because they didn't know how to end it. This has brought up a lot of previous IRL trauma I've yet to get guidance on, and I hate losing people.
We don't message every day. The last time we talked was the beginning of this month, but I've interacted with them on twitter a few times.
Should I try to message them or just let the friendship die? Would trying to get an explanation or explaining how I feel about this really change their mind?

2021.10.26 09:42 thjmze21 What's happening in Mexico?

I was on a cruise to Mexico but all the sudden it got rescheduled to Bahamas. I'm overjoyed because I actually wanted to go to the Bahamas but my vacation day falls near Christmas and there were no respectable ships going to Cococay during that time. But it's still confusing as to why a lot of ships that go to cozumel got rescheduled. I just read a carnvial cruiser get their cruise switched to Mexico.

2021.10.26 09:42 nottakko does "you know" end with a period or a question mark?

the phrase "you know" that we often use at the end of each sentence in a casual conversation is one of the phrases i often use and now that i am using it in a book i'm writing, i realized that i never knew what punctuation mark to use after that phrase.
for example the sentence is "university has always been stressing, you know" or "i've never felt this depressed in my whole life, you know"
does the sentence after "you know" end with a period or a question mark?

2021.10.26 09:42 IRLMr_Sunshine Elder Rinia doesn't actually know Arthur's future, sort of. (spoiler up to 347)

TLDR at bottom
If you read 341, you should note that the one who commanded the world eater technique to be passed down to one talented individual of each generation, in the Thyestes clan, was Kezess. Knowing that he can probably see into the future to an extent, it is not unbelievable that he foresaw the war coming centuries, or even millennia in advance. If this were the case, he should have foreseen then Arthur's survival but we know he didn't according to chapter 347.
Now we know there are others, like Rinia, who can see into the future as well, and that includes the Djinn. I think that the Djinn foresaw the reincarnation of Arthur, maybe through some kind of prophecy, and then Rinia who learned the secrets of the Djinn also learned of Arthur through that prophecy.
I think that Rinia, and others including Kezess, can't see into Arthur's future because the Djinn are somehow guarding it against being looked into. Rinia might be able to know what Arthur will do based on looking into the futures of those close to him, but not Arthur's future specifically.
Think about it like this, if you were the Djinn and you were researching Fate, and you knew that the person who exposes the Indraths and prevents the destruction of the world was going to be born, wouldn't you want to give him every advantage you could?
If people could see into Arthur's future, it would make his journey for naught, since they could foresee his actions, or potential actions, and outplay him accordingly. But if they couldn't, if he were some uncontrollable variable, the reason why Agrona thought he could be a problem, then he would stand a much better chance.
Thus, I think that no one, but the Djinn who prophesized his coming, can see into this future, or perhaps no one can see into his future because it is constantly changing. Perhaps the prophecy that the Djinn created only foretold that he comes into this world and will be its savior, but can't see certain specifics, like who he falls in love with.
Moving off the assumption that there is a prophecy, I think we can conclude that Arthur will become a god, perhaps even the God of Fate. Maybe the real reason the Djinn created the Relic tombs then was solely as a way to train Arthur and help him eventually become a God. Furthermore, I think his reincarnation was specific, in that King Grey was chosen to eventually become God, instead of the many others who might be more qualified.
This is likely because of his connection to the "Legacy" and thus Cecilia who has now been reincarnated into Tess' body. We still don't know what the "Legacy" actually is, but as some have theorized, she could be the one who masters Mana while Arthur masters Aether and Fate. So then we could have two literal Gods, one ruling over Fate, Space, Time, and Existence, while the other rules over Mana.
Knowing that Cecilia had feelings for Grey at one point, and Grey had feelings for her but never reciprocated because he was a bitch, it's not unfathomable that Cecilia and Tess could merge. This would give us a happy ending, which TurtleMe said we'd get in an interview, and thus these two gods could then hook up. In this process, we have someone to prevent the Indraths, and other asuras, from continuing their tyranny, and another who could raise the lessers up to the level of the Deities.
No one can really see into Arthur's future because it's being guarded by the Djinn who likely prophesized his coming. Furthermore, it is likely that the Relic Tombs are a sort of training ground for Arthur to ascend to godhood. Lastly, Tess and Cecilia could possibly merge to become Arthur's goddess, of mana and lessers, while he is the God of Fate and stops the Asuras from harming said lessers.
